Exterior finishes that protect and beautify, along with superior craftsmanship, make Matthews Aurora’s wood caskets a recognized leader.  Our hardwood caskets include Mahogany, Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Oak, Ash, Pecan, Pine and Poplar.

Our metal caskets include a wide range of styles, colors and prices, to accommodate the needs and preferences of all the families we serve. Our metal caskets showcase exceptional finishes, high-quality interiors and strong, corrosion-resistant metals. Our metals include Bronze, Copper, Stainless Steel, 16-Gauge, 18-Gauge and 20-Gauge Steel.

Copper Caskets

Copper is a naturally occurring, non-rusting, pure metal, known for its longevity and natural beauty. Copper is one-third stronger than stainless steel and symbolizes a lasting tribute.

Wood Caskets

Wood might be a preference for its warmth and beauty. The price of wood caskets depends on several factors including the specie of wood. Mahogany, Walnut and Cherry are premium hardwoods because of the limited availability and high scarcity. Maple, Oak, Pecan, Hickory and Ash are more standard and available. We also offer more basic caskets made of Poplar and softwoods, such as Pine and Cedar, which are readily available and the least scarce. These wood caskets have fewer finishing step than the other species.

Bronze Caskets

Metal might be preferred because of its strength and durability, along with the aesthetics of a variety of finishes. Most metal caskets contain a gasket, designed to help keep elements out of the casket. Bronze is an ageless, non-rusting, semi-precious metal alloy of 90% copper and 10% zinc. Bronze is not only the strongest and long-lasting of any casket construction material, it is one of the world's most enduring and prestigious metals. Zinc adds strength and hardness. Bronze is resistant to corrosive elements, and makes an elegant, exquisite enduring tribute that transcends time.

Rental Caskets

Another option that we provide is the use of a ceremonial or rental casket for traditional cremation services. These families choose to view their loved in a hardwood casket prior to the cremation. With this type of casket, an insert slides into the casket shell and is removed and transported to the crematory for the cremation process. Other families have used the casket, but a new insert is used in each instance.

Stainless Steel Caskets

Stainless Steel is a dynamic, high-performance, rust-resistant metal symbolizing a tribute of great durability and value. Contrasting brushed finishes highlight the sophisticated silver tones.

Steel Caskets

Steel is an efficient, functional, rugged metal, symbolizing a tribute of universal strength and stability. Known for its affordability and availability, steel caskets are one of the most popular casket materials. From the heavy weight 16 Gauge to the most economical light weight 20 Gauge, thickness determines the quality and price. 18 Gauge caskets are considered medium weight and 20% thinner than 16 Gauge. 20 Gauge caskets are available with or without gaskets.

Our enhanced width caskets are crafted from robust steel, featuring the industry's finest craftsmanship and unparalleled finishes.

We offer a variety of caskets specially designed for cremation or certain religious practices. Nearly any hardwood casket can be used for cremation, but caskets designed for cremation have very little to no metal to facilitate the cremation process.

Orthodox caskets have been assembled without the use of any metal parts- only wood fasteners and approved organic glues. The all wood construction collection features a variety of casket styles, each combining the finest grade of natural hardwoods with uncompromising craftsmanship, resulting in a quality product of the highest order.
