Timothy Wayne Clay, 52, of Concord, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Tim was born March 26, 1970, in Concord, NC to Bobby “Wayne” Clay and the late Betty Jane Clay.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Bonnie Hartsell Clay of Concord, NC; daughter Rebecca Clay; son, Malcolm Clay; brother Ron Clay and wife Lisa; sister, Tina Furr; father Bobby “Wayne” Clay; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Tim was raised in Concord, NC and attended Central Cabarrus High School. He worked for many years as a general manager in the pizza restaurant industry. He started his career at Papa John’s in Concord and worked at Pizza Hut as well. For the last 7 years he has been a general manager at Marco’s Pizza in Concord. His interests were music, cars, and most of all his family and home. He was a wonderful husband and father and manager. Tim was loved by all and will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at McGill Baptist Church - 5300 Poplar Tend Rd, Concord, NC 28027. A memorial service to celebrate Tim’s life will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Dr. Steve Ayers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McGill Baptist Church. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Clay family.
