Sylvia Huneycutt

Sylvia Pearline Huneycutt, 60, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Sylvia was born August 23, 1960 in Stanly County to the late Fred Owens and the late Annie Simpson Owens. She was also preceded in death by brother, Fred Odell; and sister, Betty Lou.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021at Hartsell Funeral Homes of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the White Crest Baptist Church Cemetery, 1051 River Rd., Mt. Gilead.

Sylvia enjoyed many hobbies, such as listening to gospel music, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include sons, Johnny Owens and Charlie Owens; grandsons, Christopher Owens, Jonathan Owens, Johnny Owens, Jr. and Justice Owens; daughter-in-laws, Shakria Owens and Janna Owens; sisters, Margaret Owens, Claudine Owens, Ann Eudy and Marlene Hartsell; brothers, Gary Owens and Jessie Owens; many nieces and nephews; and a very special nephew, Dakota Hills.
