Steven Jones

Steven Alan Jones,Sr. 71, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at home.

Jones was born February 17, 1950 in Syracuse, New York to the late Frederick Owen Jones and the late Doris Jones.
She was also preceded in death by brothers; Michael F. Jones,Sr., and Stuart Jones.

Steven worked as a machinist for Thermold Corp in Canastota, Ny for many years,with a wonder knack for building and designing anything you gave him a sketch of on paper. He was an avid golfer in his "brightly colored" clothing and a true red/white/and blue fan for the NY Giants on Sunday's.

He moved from Chittenango, NY in 2010 to Concord,NC. with his family where he continued to follow his favorite NASCAR drivers and spend valuable time with his grandchildren. Steve Sr. was known as Dad/Pops to all the grocery crew in the stores he frequented in his final years, chatting stories with receivers, sweeping the backroom and swapping old stories with others as filled his retirement days.

Survivors include son, Steven Alan Jones, Jr.(Holly) of Concord,NC, and siblings; Margaret Bloss of Charlotte,NC, Marcia Tierny, of Chittenango, NY Russell Jones(Debra) of Chittenango, NY and his grandsons Korey and Konner Jones, of Concord, NC.

A private service will be held for family at a later date.
