Shirley Benton

Shirley Gean Love Benton, 84, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home in Monroe.

Shirley was born November 8, 1937 in Stanly County to the late Edwin Pernay Love and the late Essie Viola Hill Love.
She was also preceded in death by husband, James Boyd (JB) Benton and son, Glen Alan Benton.

The graveside service will be on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 12 noon in the Hope Second Advent Christian Cemetery at 6804 Morgan Mill Road, Monroe, officiated by Pastor Josh Smith.

Survivors include son, Phillip Michael (Brenda) Benton of Indian Trail; grandsons, Chad (Kara) Benton and Chase (Morgan) Benton; and great-grandchildren.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Benton family.
