Shaaron Leonard

Shaaron Jeanene Hill Leonard, 76, of Badin, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.

Shaaron was born November 18, 1944 in North Carolina to the late Charles "Coconut" Hill and the late Charlotte Strickland Hill.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Michael Zane Leonard, son, Kevin Leonard, daughter, Amy Elizabeth Leonard, and sister, Beth Chandler.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Badin United Methodist Church. The Memorial service will follow Tuesday at 5:30 pm at Badin United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Beau Linker. Interment will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include son, David Leonard of Jacksonville, NC, grandchildren, Hannah Leonard of Badin, NC, Samantha Leonard and Christian Leonard of Stoney Point, NC and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.

Shaaron retired from Badin Elementary School where she was a Teacher's Assistant. She was also a lifelong member of Badin United Methodist Church. Sharron enjoyed cruises with David Talbert, traveling, and going on her "small adventures". Her hobbies included photography and Shag Dancing to Carolina Beach Music.She also loved animals, enjoyed chocolate, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and she took pride in sharing the same birthday as Mickey Mouse. Spending time and laughing with her family was Shaaron's favorite thing to do.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Stanly County or the ASPCA.
