Sarah Mccoy

Sarah Jane Love McCoy, 91, of Stanfield, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at her home.

Sarah was born May 14, 1931 in North Carolina to the late Roy Franklin Love and the late Mary Etta Clark Love.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Lewis Ray McCoy; brothers, Clyde Love and Carl Love; and sister, Frances Harris.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Monday, September 26, 2022 at Love's Grove United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm officiated by Rev. Jim White. Burial will follow at the Love's Grove United Methodist Cemetery at 4360 Polk Ford Rd., Stanfield.

Survivors include daughters, Connie (Henry) Furr of Stanfield, NC and Donna (Allen) Smith of Midland, NC; son, John (Kathy) McCoy of Stanfield, NC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

Sarah retired from Stanly Knitting Mills in Oakboro and was a lifelong member of Love's Grove United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir for many years. She loved quilting and being outdoors doing yard work. Sarah was a wonderful mother and loved her family dearly.

The McCoy family would like express their deepest thanks to her caregivers - Dawn, Anne, Judy, and Holly - for their compassionate care and being a part of our family.
