Ruby Howard

Ruby Evelyn Howard went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Asheboro.

Mrs. Howard was born September 6, 1931, the oldest child of Lonnie Baxter Howard, Sr. and Ida Barbee Howard. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Jeanette Howard Little and brother, Lonnie Baxter Howard, Jr.

Ruby is survived by her nephew, Dr. J.F. Howard and wife Kari; great-nephews, John Howard, Jr., Graham Howard, Philip Howard and Josiah Howard, all of Winston Salem.

Mrs. Howard was a member of Fellsmere Community Bible Church in Florida and a former member of Fairview Baptist Church of Albemarle. She spent her career working in business administration, finance and accounting. Her years of employment included; a large car dealership in Chapel Hill, a feed supply store in Albemarle, a florist, and the Duke University bookstore.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 AM, on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Fairview Baptist Church, 410 Ridge St. Albemarle. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. J.F. Howard, Rev. Kari Howard and Rev. John Howard, Jr. officiating. Burial will conclude at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.
