Robert Mason

Robert William Mason, 83, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his home.

Robert was born December 17, 1937 in Mecklenburg County to the late John Mack Mason and the late Martha Winslow Blythe.

Robert retired from the Charlotte Observer after 25 years in the carpenter shop. He really enjoyed hobby farming and he will be missed by his friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service iwill follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Luke Grisby officiating.  Burial will be at Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 101 W Sugar Creek Rd, Charlotte.

Survivors include wife, Joan Mason of Harrisburg, NC, son, Charlie Mason, his favorite nephew, Bruce Baker, nephews, John Baker, and Eddy Baker; nieces, Amy Baker, and Jill Baker Metts; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Mason family.
