Richard "Ricky" Carpenter

Richard "Ricky" Allen Carpenter, 55, of Kannapolis, NC, originally from Charleston, WV, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center after a short health battle.

Ricky was born November 19, 1965 to the late Franklin D. Carpenter and the late Sylvia L. Flowers Carpenter.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Katie Hager of NC; and fiance, Vicky Fisher of NC.

Ricky is survived by his son, Michael Allen Carpenter of Kannapolis, NC; sister, Sheila Carpenter of Concord, NC; brother, Frank Carpenter, Jr. of Kannapolis, NC; brother, Davey Carpenter of Milton, WV; sister, Delsie Craig and family of Kannapolis, NC; niece, Amber Hager Eller and family of China Grove, NC; and brother-in-law Mike Hager and family of China Grove, NC.

Ricky was the happiest when he was outside working on lawn mowers or cars.  He formerly worked at Ditch Witch of Charlotte.  He loved being around his son Michael and his closest family members.  He loved collecting other's junk and turning it into treasures.  Ricky enjoyed making people laugh, and you always knew where he was because of his whistling.  He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held for him at his niece Amber Eller's house, on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 7:00pm.
