Rhea Thompson

Rhea Marie Thompson, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Spring Arbor in Albemarle.

Rhea was born November 7, 1932 in North Carolina to the late Flave Eugene and  Nora Blalock Little.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Johnnie Howard Thompson, brother, Lowell Eugene Little.

A funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Ed Lowder and Rev. Mitchell Cook.

Survivors include son, John Mark (Beth) Thompson of New London, NC, friend, Allen (Vicky) King of Oakboro, NC, granddaughter, Amber (Matthew) Peake of California, and great-grandchildren, Rylee, Noah, and Madison.

Rhea was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church, where she participated in many activities including Adult Choir. She was also a part of Stanly County Chorale, Singing Americans, and Uwharrie Players. She also worked for Wiscassett Mills for 35 years in the personnel office.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice or ASPCA.
