Patsy Lou Orr Miller, 84, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at St. Andrew's Assisted Living in Concord.

Patsy was born November 4, 1936 in Tennessee to the late John Miller Orr and the late Bonnie Orr.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Dallas Miller, brother, Ted Orr, and sister, Betty Brock.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Harrisburg United Methodist Church officiated by Rev.Toni Ruth Smith and Rev.Wesley Smith. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg at 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte.

Patsy Lou was known for having a servants heart and having an "open door policy" for all that needed it. Patsy loved her church and church family, as she served at Harrisburg United Methodist Church since the early 1970's. She lived a full life, traveling to Europe 3 times and to Haiti several times to work with the children at St. Joseph's Home for mission trips. She was known for starting the Harrisburg Crisis Assistance and Food Pantry and also created the Fourth of July Parade in Harrisburg, NC, which continues to be celebrated each year.

Survivors include sons, Jeffery (Alaine) Miller of Harrisburg, NC, James "Jimmy" (Darlene) Miller of Locust, NC; daughters, Jill (Greg) Field of Waverly, TN, Joan (Dan) Collins of Concord, NC; brother, Eddy Orr of Elizabethton, TN; grandchildren, Kaylee (Andrew) Matthews of Easley, SC, Ashleigh Miller of Harrisburg, NC, Natalie Miller of Salisbury, NC, Whitley Miller, and Josh Miller of Harrisburg, NC, Reghan (Samuel) Cole of Atwood, TN, Bonne Higginbotham of Murfreesboro, TN, Candace Miller of Locust, NC, Nicole Miller of Locust, NC, Jackson Collins of Concord, NC; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Harrisburg Crisis Assistance and Food Pantry, St. Andrews Assisted Living and Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Miller family.
