Nancy Ann Fons, 82, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, North Carolina.
She was born June 15, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Andrew Smith and the late Lucy Kaminski Smith.
Nancy was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, James Louis Fons.
Survivors include daughters; Margaret Fons-Dalman and husband David of Phoenix, AZ, Connie Fennig and husband Jimmy of Harrisburg, NC and Jeanine Blumer and husband Jeff of Canton, GA. Also surviving are son, Gregory Fons and wife Kelly of Hoschton, GA. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren Alexandra (Grayson), Joey (Abby), Noah and Garrett. She was survived by her brother, John Smith (Denette) of West Allis, Wisconsin, Susie Fish (Danny) of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and Colette Twardowski (Johnny) of Athelstane, Wisconsin. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Nancy was a loving homemaker, wife and mother. She worked as an Event Planner for Midway Motor Lodge, and as a Paraprofessional in Education at Grant School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her love for life and helping others led her into volunteering in the community. She volunteered at the Milwaukee Reparatory Theater, St. Francis hospital, Polish Fest, the 50th Reunion Committee of Pulaski High School in 2008, Breast Cancer Awareness activities, and at Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Those who knew her appreciated her love for entertaining and cooking, her laugh and her smile.
