Melia Belofski

Melia Marie Belofski, 20, of Concord, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Melia was born March 27, 1999 in Concord to Kevin Gerard Belofski and Barbara Nicole Middleton.  She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Cameron Short.

Melia graduated from PLC High School, Concord, and was currently taking Veterinary Technician classes with Penn Foster.  She was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.  Melia had a great passion for horseback riding and enjoyed caring for all animals.  She was a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter.

Survivors include father, Kevin (Claudette Logan) Belofski of Concord; mother, Barbara Nicole (Ernest) Middleton of Rockwell; sisters, Kendall Howard, Kayla Belofski and Janelle Belofski; brother, Joseph Acevedo; paternal grandparents, Don and Linda Belofski of Concord; maternal grandmothers, Nadine Howard of Salisbury and Judy Short of Hawaii; aunt, Michelle Belofski; uncles, Steve (Julia) Belofski, Shawn Pethel, Jeff Chasteen, Jeremiah (Terrianne) Holbrook; great aunt, Theresa Boldman; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday, October 21, 2019 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Jerome Chavarria.  Burial will follow at the St. James Catholic Church Cemetery, 2323 Gold Hill Rd., Concord.

A donation may be made in Melia's memory to Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County.
