Mary Schreppel

Mary Rosalene Schreppel, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

She was born August 9, 1932 to the late Burch Elam Burris and the late Annie Huneycutt Burris.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Roy Glenn Schreppel; daughters, Vickie Honeycutt and Rita Hathcock; brother, Joe Lee Burris; and sister, Monzell Coley.

Mary retired from Wiscassett Mills. Mary and her husband, Roy owned and operated a Small Engine Repair business after their retirement.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Albemarle.  Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include daughter, Linda (Timothy) Springer of Albemarle and Mary Lou (Rodney) Blalock of Badin; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Susie Bowers and Ruby Hudson.

Mary was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  She was previously a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross Disaster Service and a member of the Singing Americans of Stanly County.
