Margaret "Marge" Moeller

Margaret M. Moeller died in Mint Hill, North Carolina on September 11, 2021.  She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 14, 1925 to the late Marion and William Farrell.  She graduated in 1947 from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy.  She worked in this field at St. Joseph’s Retreat in Dearborn, MI and at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Rehabilitation Center in Chicago, IL.  Margaret married Donald Moeller in 1955.  They had six children - David, Janice, James, Carol (Bryan Edens), Martha, and Jeffrey (Julie O’Malley) and nine grandchildren - Samantha, Andrew, Alexander, Amber, Marc, Rachel, Zachary, Margaret, and Jessica, and five great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Margaret enjoyed sports, especially tennis.  Other favorite activities were reading and playing bridge. She was a longtime volunteer at her church, at Catholic Parish Outreach, and Meals on Wheels.  During her retirement years, she and her husband shared their love of travel by taking many trips both in the US and abroad.

A funeral mass for Margaret will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2718 Overbrook Dr, Raleigh on Friday, September 24 at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will take place in the back of the church from 1:00-2:00 pm.  Interment will take place in the columbarium on the church grounds with the immediate family.
