John "Butch" Hartsell

John Stanly Hartsell, 74, of Wingate, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his home.

Butch was born April 9, 1947 in North Carolina to the late John William Hartsell and the late Bessy Mildred Hartsell.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Diane Hartsell; and brothers, Tommy Hartsell, Randy Haigler.

Butch never met a stranger. If you look around, you will see the work of his hands. He was a hard working, and very loved man by many, but especially by his family. The love of his Lord was prominent as he served as a Deacon of Pecan Baptist Church for several years. Although he has passed on, and will be missed by many, we now have peace knowing he is reunited with the love of his life of 50 years, Diane, in heaven.

Survivors include sons, Johnny (Misty) Hartsell of Albemarle, NC and Chris Hartsell of Wingate, NC; grandchildren, Logan Grant Hartsell, of Concord, NC, Zechariah Jordan Hartsell of Concord, NC, Kristen Danielle Honeycutt, Freddie Furr. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
