Joe Rayfield

Joe Larry Rayfield Sr., 79, of Concord, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Joe was born November 11, 1940 in Gold Hill to the late Burkley Howard Rayfield and Ada Roseann Price Rayfield.  He is preceded in death by Siblings Kathryn Goodman, Shirley Thomas, Gene Rayfield, Bob Rayfield, Bill Rayfield & Franklin Rayfield.

Joe ran his own drywall company.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Apple picking.

Survivors include beloved wife of 57 years,  Willie Mae Sutton Rayfield; Son Joe Larry Rayfield Jr., of Rockwell, Bobby Rayfield Sr.  and wife Angel of Mount Pleasant, daughter Lisa Rayfield Miller and husband Mike of Rockwell, son Bryan Rayfield and wife Stacy of Concord. Grandchildren Melissa (Jeff) Stamey, Bobby Rayfield Jr., Jamie(Jamie) Blackwelder, Jonathan(Erica) Rayfield, Laura (Mike) Merrington, Michael Miller, April Miller, Jamie Gunnell, Jessie Gunnell, Dillion (Brooke) Rayfield, Bryson Rayfield, & Colton Rayfield. Great-Grandchildren include Addison & Caleb Blackwelder, Cadence & McKenzie Stamey, Chyanne Rayfield, Kaelyn Rayfield, Lillian Locklear , Carrigan Hovater. Siblings Mary (Joe) Redman, Diane(Frank) Plummer, Mike (Pat) Rayfield, Edd (Louis) Rayfield.

The family will receive friends from 6-7pm on Thursday May 28, 2020 at Universal House of Prayer Church, 2999 Eva Drive NW Concord, NC 28027 The memorial service will follow at 7pm officiated by Randy Lefler & A.W. Sutton.
