Jimmy Burris

Jimmy Ray Burris, 76, of Richfield, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020.

Jimmy was born April 27, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Raymond and Pauline Burris.  He was also preceded in death by beloved wife of 58 years, Brookshire Louella Burris.

Jimmy owned and operated Burris Logging.  He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church of New London.  Jimmy was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Survivors include son, Donny Burris of Richfield; daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Burris Eudy and fiancée Gregory Gallimore of Lexington; son, Liston Haywood Burris of Albemarle; two brothers, David Burris of Albemarle and Wayne Burris and wife, Lynn, of Albemarle; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Wayne Eudy.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
