Jimmy Ellison

Jimmy (Jim) Roger Ellison, a Stanly County resident and originally of York, Nebraska, passed away on 10 January 2021 after battling a myriad of health issues in 2020.

Jim moved to Montgomery County in his early teens and graduated from West Montgomery High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and classic rock enthusiast, and was a self-employed land surveyor for nearly two decades able to obtain a professional land surveying license without any formal education.

Jim is survived by his son John (Laura), dear family Wade, Donna and Sam Jones of Albemarle who kept an eye on him for many years, cousins Donna and Flynn Richardson of Porter, sister Linda Cee and brother Bob Ellison of Lincoln, Nebraska.
