Jeremy Nance

Jeremy "Kevin" Nance, 51, of Polkton, went to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Atrium Health Anson in Wadesboro.

Kevin was born June 25, 1970 in Stanly County to the late Lee Roy Nance and Elizabeth Anne Taylor Nance.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm, Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. The funeral service to celebrate Kevin's life will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary. He will be laid to rest at Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery.

In addition to his mother, Elizabeth T. Nance, he is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Shannon Marie Bearden Nance; daughter, Morgan (Josh) Carpenter; son, Ethan Nance; grandson, Rhett Carpenter; and brother, Rev. Dr. Darrell (Penny) Nance.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many. Kevin worked at Goulston Technologies for 32 years, where he was the receiving supervisor, and was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. No matter where he was, his love for the Lord was a witness to everyone. Kevin was the pillar of his family, and was an avid outdoorsman; whether it was hunting with his children, fishing at his in-laws, or farming at home. He had a lighthearted and humble personality, and will be missed by all who knew him.
