Jared Vaszily

Jared Christopher Vaszily, 31, of Midland, NC passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 in China Grove.

Jared was born December 22, 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Blaine Thomas Vaszily and Cindy Lynn Soots Chaney.

A memorial service to celebrate Jared's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20th at Bethel Church in Midland, officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery 12700 Idlebrook Road in Midland.

Survivors include his wife, Rebekah Vaszily; his mother, Cindy Soots Chaney and husband Greg of Midland, NC; his father, Blaine T. Vaszily and wife Lisa K. of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sister, Lia Vaszily Cochran and husband Corbin; step-sister, Ashley Crusey and husband Trey; step-brother Cole Chaney; step-sister Hannah Chaney; grandparents, Ralph and Jane Soots, of Midland, NC; grandparents, John and Diane Vaszily; aunt, Lisa Norris and husband Andy (Conner and Molly); uncle, Eric Soots and wife Dana (Davis); and aunt, Gabi Vaszily (Scout).

Jared loved nature and it went hand in hand with his love of wood-working. As a little boy he always wanted to be outside and that continued into his adult years.

He had a heart of gold. Always wanting to help others any time he could. Kind, friendly and knew no strangers. Jared had a beautiful smile and everyone that met him, loved him. His loyal dog Moe always at his side.

Jared had a passion for many sports, especially Frisbee golf. One of his favorite hobbies was stargazing. He knew all of the planets, stars and galaxies.

His life was way too short but one that touched hearts like no other. He is leaving behind broken hearts but hearts that believe in God and know where he is. There is an extra twinkle in the sky now. So the night will be brighter.
