James Vick

James Everett Vick, 85, of New London, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in his daughter's home after an extended illness.

James was born July 18, 1935 to the late Leland Stanford Vick and Vernice Vick.  He was also preceded in death by wife, Sybil Lowder Vick, and brother, Joe Vick.

Mr. Vick will Lie In State from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.  A Graveside Service officiated by Rev. Nina Miller will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday February 20, 2021 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Albemarle.

Survivors include daughter, Penny (Mark) Harris of New London; son, Doug (Veanna) Vick of Reidsville; grandson Anthony Vick of Reidsville; and great-grandsons, Paxton, and Peyton.  He is also survived by his sister Libby (Greg) Todd of Tarboro.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and The Uwharrie, 960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001.
