James Burleson

James Dale Burleson (Dobber), 84, of Locust, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Dobber was born December 17, 1936 in North Carolina to the late Ira Burleson and the late Ethel Burleson.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Patricia Gail Burleson, and seven siblings.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 2:45pm, Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 3:00pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Oakboro, officiated by Dr. Shad Hicks. Burial will immediately follow at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro.

Survivors include children, Kelly Morgan, Pam Burris, Jerry Burleson, Kathy Teeter, and Christy Rouse; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sisters, Margaret Aldridge, Shirley Giles, brother, Claude Burleson, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
