Jackie Hartsell

Jackie Howard Hartsell, 76, of Midland, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at home.

Jack was born January 19, 1946 in North Carolina to the late Howard Lee Hartsell and the late Cosette Hartsell.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Diane Hough Hartsell and grandson Zackery Hartsell.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:45 am, Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Bethel Church of Midland. The funeral service will follow the visitation, officiated by Rev. Jeremy Brackett.  Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery at 12700 Idlebrook Rd., Midland.

Jack was an exceptional athlete, coach, and fan of all sports.  He was a masonry business owner for over 40 years.  Jack had an friendly smile and laugh which lifted the spirits of all who met him.  He will forever be remembered for being a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Survivors include son, Jason (Melissa) Hartsell and Jeffrey Howard; grandchilden, Chelsea (Evan) Arthur, Greyson Hartsell, Graham Hartsell, Camden Hartsell, and Savannah Hartsell; great-grandchild, Macklin Arthur; brothers, Wayne (Mary) Hartsell and Gary (Julia) Hartsell; and special companion of 18 years, Roxy Barbee and her family, Sonja, Amy, Bryan, and Jacob.

Donations may be made to Bethel Church of Midland Cemetery fund or Hospice of Cabarrus.
