Helen Sowell

Helen Metts Sowell, 93, of Mint Hill, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

She was born March 10, 1927 in Leesville, SC and was the daughter of the late George William Metts and the late Etha Swygert Metts.
Helen was also preceded in death by husband, Leroy Sowell Jr, son, Michael Sowell, son in law, Don Boyne and five siblings.

The inurnment will be at Union Lutheran Church Cemetery in Batesburg, SC and will be held at a later date.

Survivors include daughters, Linda  Boyne of West Columbia, SC, Joan Dameron (Wade) of Midland, NC, and Debbie Long (Wes) of Elgin, SC.

The most important thing on earth to Helen was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
