Harold Pauley

Harold Pauley, better known as Our Dad, passed away peacefully while surrounded by Friends and Family in his Home April 24, 2021.
Dad was an Exceptional Man and was known by all to be a Kind soul. He is a Christian and has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. He had been excited to join others that had gone before him. He was especially excited to be with our Mother and his Wife – Wanda again. Dad came from a Family of 8 having 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters. His Brother John Wayne, and Sisters Linda and Minnie survive him. Harold had been a Disciple for the LORD and was instrumental in the building of the Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood, WV that started with 4 couples in a house and went on to be the largest Church in Ravenswood. Dad was always working at Leading People to Christ. His LORD and Family were the most important things in his life with his job at Kaiser Aluminum being a close second. He worked as an Electrician and later as a Supervisor at the Kaiser Plant located in Ravenswood WV. In Dad’s early years he was an Aircraft Mechanic in the Army Air Corp working on P-38 aircraft. He would always love to tell you about how he got to ride in a P-38 while sitting atop the radio in the back. Dad’s other Hobby was building houses to live in. He built 7 houses that we lived in as well as helping to build a house for his Daughter Debbie and one for his Son David. Dad could be counted on to help with any project someone asked for help on. If you are reading this you likely already knew our Dad and likely have your own stories that you could tell about him. If you did not have the pleasure of knowing our Dad, you missed meeting an Outstanding Man. Dad did not want to have the classic funeral experience but instead only wanted a small Memorial with Friends and Family. Yes, we will miss our Dad, but we know he is in Paradise and that gives us Peace. May GOD’s Blessings be with you.
