Glenna Fowler

Glenna Henley Fowler, 95, of Concord, NC went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at her granddaughter's home.

Glenna was born March 16, 1925 in Stanly County, NC to the late Walter and Sally Henley. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 75 years, James William Fowler, Sr.; six siblings; her youngest son, Gary; and her great great-granddaughter, Callie Jo Shirley.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr., NE, Concord, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Hatcher Funeral Home, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. The funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 12:00 pm in the chapel. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, 2648 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Fowler of Concord, NC; sons, James W. (Peggie) Fowler, Jr. of Lithia Springs, GA, Edward A. (Joy) Fowler of Aiken, SC; seven grandchildren, Shari, Cindy, Clark, Brent, Andrew, Tripp, and Aaron; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter, Kate.

Glenna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was music and singing Alto.
