Gary Dan Little

October 26, 1935 ~ January 5, 2021 (age 85)


Gary Dan Little, 85, of Concord, went home to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Gary Little was born October 26, 1935 in Cabarrus County to the late Charles Walter Little, Sr. and the late Bertha Beachum Little.  Gary was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Riley Little; infant daughter, Gina Danett Little; 5 siblings and 1 granddaughter.

Gary was a graduate of Hartsell School.  He retired from Reichhold Chemicals after more than 40 years of service.  He was an active charter member and deacon of New Testament Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Kannapolis for more than 45 years.  Gary was a devout Christian with a real passion for witnessing and leading others to Christ.  Gary and his wife, Louise, loved traveling to Wyoming for big game hunting for 29 consecutive years.  He was a very talented woodworker and enjoyed being and working outdoors.  Gary was a very loving husband, dad, Paw Paw, and true friend to all.    

Survivors include beloved wife of 46 years, Louise Barbee Little of Concord; son, Ricky L. Little and wife, Heather, of Concord; stepdaughters, Donna Bryant and husband, Harry, of New London and Staretta Mauldin and husband, Sammy, of Kannapolis; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm, Sunday, January 10, 2021 at New Testament Baptist Church, 5140 Irish Potato Rd, Kannapolis.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at the church, officiated by Rev. Bobby Utley.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
