Francis Rogers

Francis Rogers, 92, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center in North Carolina.

She was born on August 27, 1928, in Pennington, New Jersey, to the late Vincent and Hipolita (Shipinski) Ploski. She was predeceased of her beloved brother and sisters: Jean Witkowski of Trenton, New Jersey; Harriet Novak of Princeton, New Jersey; Lottie Ploski (died as a child); Caroline Wenski of Trenton, New Jersey; Stanley Ploski Sr. of Ringoes, New Jersey; and Natalie Baker of Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

Francis was both a homemaker and an employee at Thorne Pharmacy in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. She enjoyed quilting (patchwork and applique), cross-stitching (she taught many of her grandchildren this art), cooking (chicken pot pie was her specialty), baking (lemon meringue pie was her signature piece), visiting the Jersey Shore (Ocean Grove was a favorite place), and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, frankness, and witty sense of humor.

Francis was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2014 after 64 years of marriage. She is survived by three sons: Rick and wife Carol, of Lexington, Virginia; Dave and wife Karen, of Concord, North Carolina; and Bill and husband Jeff, of Milton, Delaware. Additionally, she is survived by four grandchildren: Sarah, Hunter, Cathleen, and Addie; great-grandson, Isaiah; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 30, at 11:00 AM, at Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church, 154 South Mill Road, West Windsor Township, New Jersey, 08550. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a favorite charity.
