Faye Blakely

Faye Elizabeth Blakely, 76, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at home in Mooresville.

Faye was born August 25, 1946 in North Carolina to the late William Orville Blakely and the late Martha Elvira Blake.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Sylvia Efird.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00 pm in Fairview Memorial Park,  Albemarle officiated by Reverend James E. Neese Jr. and Reverend Chad D. Nelson.

Faye was a wonderful mother and a most loving grandmother.  She helped her daughter Shannon and son-in-law Jamie raise their sons whom she adored dearly and took care of the house while they worked long hours.  Some of her favorite pastimes were spent at the beach with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed feeding birds, taking care of plants and her cats, and listening to beach music.  One of Faye's favorite sayings was "Make it a great day".

Survivors include daughter, Shannon (Jamie) Neese of Mooresville, NC.; Grandsons, James E. Neese IV, Dakota Aaron Smith, William Andrew Neese; sister, Sue Blakely.
