Fannie affected many people during her life, as she was devoted to her church, her community and her family. She was a member of the Locust Presbyterian Church since 1943, always in attendance whenever she could and she participated in many activities and programs of the church, always willing to help out. She was equally active in her community. She worked as a Teacher's Assistant for many years at Locust Elementary School, and was fondly remembered by former co-workers and students over the years who often thanked her for her kindness and commitment to education. She also volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels when she retired and assisted in many other community events. She was very close to all of her neighbors as well, always interested in their well-being and offering help to anyone who needed it. Most of all, she was dedicated to family. She loved her husband, Bob, and her children and she worked hard to make their lives and their home better. And she absolutely adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Her love of family extended to all of her relatives - her mother and father, her brother and her sisters, distant members, new members, young and old. They were all a great joy to her and she never hesitated to show her love for them.
