Daniel Watts

Daniel Frances Watts, 70, of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Pruitt Health in Rockingham.

Daniel was born August 30, 1950 in Charlotte to the late Owen Leslie Watts and the late Dorothy Frances Watts.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Owen L. Watts,  Alan Dale Watts,  and William M. Watts.

Survivors include his daughter, Kelly Elizabeth Watts; son, James Brian Watts, and his grandson Caiden.

Daniel graduated in 1968 from West Mecklenburg High School and then entered the US Army.  He was a Vietnam Veteran having served as a special forces medic.  He was a brilliant drywall installer and loved making things with his hands.  There wasn't anything he couldn't create when he set his mind to it.  He also enjoyed spending time with "Sammie" his Shih Tzu.  They never left each other's side until Sammie passed.
