Charlene Eloise Salyers, 80, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at her home.

Charlene was born August 1, 1941 in Coshocton County, Ohio to the late William Leroy Beam and the late Elva Beam. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Beam Wright.

The Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle and will be officiated by her dear friend, Jon Aney.

Survivors include husband, Boyd Salyers; children, Boyd Charles Salyers and Thomas G. Salyers, both of Ohio, Sheila Chapman neé Moncrief of West Virginia, Angie Eury neé Salyers and Katie Byerley neé Salyers all of North Carolina, and Nichole R. Mathews neé Wright of Ohio; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters; a brother; and many nieces and nephews.

Charlene accepted Jesus as her savior very early in life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting, and was an artist especially in drawing and pottery. Charlene was known for her excellent canning skills, often canning produce straight from her garden and even meat. She was a devoted wife and more than anything she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
