Betty Martin Reynolds, 86, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Terra Bella in Harrisburg.
Betty was born October 14, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late William and Vergie Martin. She was also preceded in death by husband, Bobby Reynolds; and three sisters, Frances Humphries, Katy Rice, and Doris Hudson.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie McCleskey of Harrisburg and Susan Reynolds of Locust; granddaughter, Amanda (Thomas) McKenzie of Concord; step-grandson, Peyton McKenzie; great-granddaughter, Oaklyn McKenzie; three sisters, Vernell (Bobby) Buchanan of Bakersville, Mary Byars of Middleburg, FL, and Linda (Bill) Cooper of Lincolnton; two brothers, William (Linda) Martin of Concord and Dennis Martin of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty retired from Jenkins Electric in 2013 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Sunset Road Baptist Church in Charlotte. She enjoyed the mountains and the beach. Betty loved plants and flowers. She loved her a tomato sandwich. Most of all, she was a loving mother, maw-maw, and sister. Oaklyn was the light of her life. Betty was a very special lady, loved by many and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Friday, May 26, 2023, at Sunset Road Baptist Church, 2317 Sunset Road, Charlotte. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Steve Bass. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg, 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte.
