Zeda Austin

Zeda Elizabeth Austin, 85 years of age, passed away Monday, May 07, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – Union in Monroe. Miss Austin was born May 16, 1926 in Union County to the late George Preston Austin and Pearl Walters Austin. She retired as a machine operator for Yale & Town in Wingate. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 10, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Marshville with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Rev. Leon Whitley and Rev. John Miller will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Austin family.
