Zeb Hartis

Zeb Clifford “Cliff” Hartis, 79, of Stanfield, NC, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home. Mr. Hartis was born May 28, 1932, in Mecklenburg County. He was preceded in death by his father, Zeb Alexander Hartis; mother, Edna Sophie Lee Hartis; brothers, Bill, Frank, Larry, and Charlie Hartis; and nephew, Scott Hartis. He was co-owner of Hartis Sheet Metal of Charlotte and a member of Gleaning Mission Church of Oakboro. Survivors include his wife, Ann Mills Hartis, of the home; daughters, Marci Marshall and husband, David, of Concord, Linda Garmon and husband, Dennis, of Stanfield, and Donna Peele and husband, John, of High Point; brothers, Roy Hartis of Charlottte and Tom Hartis of Concord; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is assisting the Hartis family.
