Wilma Barbee Clontz

Wilma Barbee Clontz, 86, formerly of Midland, peacefully entered her heavenly home on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, N.C.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10 am – 10:45 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel, officiated by Pastor Rodney Taylor of Harmony Church. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, located at 331 Union Cemetery Rd. SW, Concord.

Wilma Clontz was born October 16, 1939 in Midland, NC. She was a daughter of the late Roy William Barbee, Sr. and Eva Idell Furr Barbee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Hoyle “Buck” Delane Clontz. She was preceded in death also by: sisters, Edna Barbee, Irene Campbell, Betty Stewart; & brothers, R.W. Barbee, Jr., Frank Barbee

Wilma Barbee is survived by her son, Ronnie Clontz & wife, Cathie of Denver, NC.; two grandchildren, Tanya Taylor & husband, Clif of Concord, NC; Keely Winstead & husband, Andrew of Charlotte, NC.; Three great-grandchildren, Cayden Taylor, Maylin Taylor, Everett Winstead

She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Deloris Barbee of Charlotte, NC
