Willie Payne Napier

Willie Payne Napier, 82, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at home.

Willie was born on January 13, 1941, in North Carolina, to the late Eugene Page and the late Ira Grace Harvell Page. 
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Payne; sister, Georgia Page and brother, Grady Page.

Willie was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where she participated in various activities. She was also a past member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church where she was a lay leader, sang in the choir, and taught children's Sunday School classes. After her retirement, she worked over twenty years as a precinct worker for the Stanly County Board of Elections.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5 2023, from 2 - 2:45 pm, at Main Street United Methodist Church, 1100 W. Main Street, Albemarle.  A memorial service will follow the visitation, at 3:00 pm, officiated by Reverend Ben Floyd.

Survivors include husband, Fred Napier of Albemarle, NC, daughter, Penny Tysinger of Southport, NC.; sisters, Flora Freeman, Barbara "Bobbie" Overcash, Janice "Jan" Hartis; brother, Charles Page and wife, Sandy; sister-in-law, Ramona Page; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express tremendous gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie.
