William Wentzel

William Richard Wentzel, the "Clock Man," 76 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at home.

Bill was born March 20, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Carl Henry Wentzel and Mildred Wentzel. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Esther Dreyer.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 28, 2016, (time to be announced later) at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Father Peter Fitzgibbons will officiate.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Judith Jean Wentzel of Albemarle; two sons, William Wentzel, Jr. of Chicago, and Matthew Wentzel of Whitehouse Station, NJ; one daughter, Laura Shaw of Lexington, NC; six grandchildren; one stepson, Scott Marabello of Pawtucket, RI; and one brother, John Wentzel of Forest Park, IL.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
