William Waddington

Bill Waddington, 58 years of age, of Concord, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 5, 2014 at his home.

Bill was born January 8, 1956 in New Jersey to the late William Thomas Waddington and the late Lila Sardinha Waddington.
He was also preceded in death by sister-in-law, Donna Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at University Hills Baptist Church, 1500 Suther Road, Charlotte, NC 28213. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the church sanctuary and will be officiated by Dr. Coye Still.

Survivors include wife, Kim Waddington of Concord; son, Robert Waddington of Concord; daughter, Emily Waddington of Harrisburg; sister, Linda (Andy) Andrews of Richmond, VA; sister, Carol (Murray) Buckner of Charlottesville, VA; six nephews; three nieces; his loving in-laws, Sam and Barbara Morris of Harrisburg; sister-in-law, Susan (Brett) Glovier of Harrisburg; and brother-in-law, Gary Morgan of Midland.

Bill graduated from Penn State University with a BS in architectural engineering, he had recently retired from United Engineering Group in Charlotte. Bill was an active member at University Hills Baptist Church where he served as the coordinator for the Backpack Blessings Ministry. He will be remembered as a man of God, a loving husband, and a devoted father.
