Mr. William Edward Pettit, age 78, of Midland, NC, died Friday, July 8, 2022, at his home.
Born January 21, 1944, in Greenville, SC, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie K. Pettit, who went to her Heavenly home January 26, 2018.
A retired truck driver from Consolidated Freightways, he always enjoyed watching 18-wheelers going down the highway and talking about his days of driving.
He is survived by his sons Anthony (Tony) Pettit and William M. (Mike) Pettit; daughter, Lynn Starnes and husband, Rusty; daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Church; grandchildren, Daniel Starnes and wife, Kristina, Christy Church, and Dustin Starnes; and two great-granddaughters.
The graveside service will be Saturday, July 16, 2022, 12:00 p.m., at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Pettit family.
