William Henry Hunt, 64, of Salisbury, NC, formerly of Reynoldsburg, OH, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born December 3, 1959 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Delbert Lee Hunt and the late Karen Marie Hunt.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda Hunt of the home; daughter, Becky Poling and husband James; daughter, Rachel Moore and husband Geoffrey; grandchildren, Emma Poling, Brayden Poling, Kayla Greene and Karrie Cavin; sister, Martha Hunt; brother, Lee Hunt and wife, Tiffany; brother, Brad Hunt and wife, Jodi; as well as, several nieces and nephews.,

Bill knew he wanted to serve the Lord as a minister when he was in the 6th grade. From that point on, he prepared his heart to do just that. He attended Church Camp every year and enrolled in Kentucky Christian College to get his formal ministerial training.

Bill was given many gifts. One of which was talking to anyone he met. He tried to make people feel better about themselves wherever he encountered them.

Another gift he had was making the words of the Bible come alive and understandable to all. His desire was to have everyone he knew love the Lord as much as he did. He also had an extensive musical gift. He could play the piano, sing, and write songs. He wrote songs from parodies to songs of his love of the Lord. The first song he wrote was for his own graduation. It was The Graduation Song (Farewell My Friends) and he sang it for his classmates at the graduation. He was also given the gift of writing books. He wrote and published 7 books. Bill ministered to 3 churches during his ministry. He was the youth minister for 17th Street Christian Church in Corbin, KY for 2 1/2 years. He then became the preaching minister for the Hopedale Church of Christ spending 8 years there. His last and longest ministry was at the Rose Hill Church of Christ in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He spent 30 years there loving the people and guiding them to a deeper understanding of the Bible.

Bill had three goals for his life:

  1. To be a good husband,

  2. To be a good father.

  3. To make a difference in the lives of the people he met.

"Well done thou good and faithful servant!"
