William Harold Dehn

Locust

William "Bill" Harold Dehn, 82, of Locust, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Bill was born September 25, 1941 in New York to Sebastian Anthony Dehn and Ethel Dehn. He was also preceded in death by his late wife Barbara Stolle and sister Marilyn Tripp.

Bill was a Navy Veteran serving from 1959-1963 on the USS Rowan. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and was a Bank Examiner for the State of New York for many years. After retiring he moved to Locust and became a member of the Black -Phillips American Legion post 433. He was also a member of Locust Presbyterian Church. Bill was a loving husband and friend. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday February 4, 2024, from 2:30 to 3:00 pm at Locust Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will following in the church Sanctuary. Burial will take place at the Locust Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 607 W. Main Street, Locust.

Survivors include wife, Gabrielle Flemming Dehn of Locust, NC; son, Mike (Angie) Haigler of Locust, NC; daughter, Angela (Darryl) Hughes; grandchildren, Donald Dunlap( Kimberly), Rachel Graham , Dylan Haigler, and Ashlyn Haigler; sister-in-law, Linda Vinicombe; friend, Janice Hil; brother Robert Dehn; and nephew, Christopher Dehn.

Memorials may be shared to the Black-Phillips American Legion Post 433, 12975 Cabarrus Station Road, Midland, NC 28107, or  Locust Presbyterian Church, 607 W. Main Street, Locust, NC 28097.
