William Thomas Castleberry, 86 years of age, of Whigham GA, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA. Bill was born November 23, 1927 in Georgia to the late William Thomas Castleberry, Sr. and the late Annie Mae Castleberry. He was also preceded in death by wife, Virginia Ramona Castleberry. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday December 21st and 22nd, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord officiated by Rev. Harry Kinchen. Burial will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery, 1626 Oaklawn Ave. in Charlotte NC. Survivors include son, David Castleberry of Locust, NC; daughter, Ramona Katherine Bryer of Harrisburg, NC; daughter, Patricia Ann Olinger of Littlestown, PA; daughter, Georgia Ann Israel of Helen, GA; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Whigham Baptist Church in GA, was a member of the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was the owner of B&D Asphalt Maintenance in Charlotte in the 1970s. He was the owner of a mobile home park in GA, and also owned a farm where he raised livestock and horses. He lived by love, hope, and charity. He gave all he had to help the less fortunate in the community. He was a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be deeply missed more than words can say.
