Waymond Beard

Waymond Edward Beard, age 85, of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Stanly Manor. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. The memorial service, officiated by Pastor Judy Copeland, will follow in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm. Mr. Beard was born on June 21, 1927, to the late W.E. Beard and the late Ella Beard. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years in 2011, Gladys Maries Beard, and a great granddaughter, Maryian Marie McClelland. Waymond is survived by two sons, James Edward Beard of Albemarle, and Tony Wayne Beard of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Stephanie McClelland of Kannapolis, and Adam Wayne Beard of Alamogordo, NM; and four great grandchildren, Peyton James McClelland, Aidan Beard, Trista Beard and ShyAnn Beard. Memorials may be made to the choice of the donor. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Beard family.
