Wanda Whitley

Wanda Rhodes Whitley, 65 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main in Charlotte. Mrs. Whitley was born April 1, 1948 in Tennessee to the late Lonnie William Rhodes and Annie Lee Morrison Rhodes. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Love's Grove United Methodist Church in Stanfield at 4 PM. Survivors include 2 sons, Walter Swindell "Dell" Whitley, III and wife Carrie of Stanfield, and Charles Edward Whitley and wife Sherry of Indian Trail; brother, Lonnie Bill Rhodes of Piney Flats, TN; and sister, Shirley Jean Lewis of Gray, TN.; and several grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Love's Grove United Methodist Church, PO Box 276, Stanfield, NC 28163. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Whitley family.
