Wallace Halsey

Wallace B. Halsey, 99, of Concord, NC passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.

Wallace was born November 12, 1922 in Alleghany County, NC to the late James Harlow Halsey and the late Lela Mae Pierce Halsey.  He was the youngest of six children. In addition to his parents and siblings, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Caudill Halsey.

Survivors include his daughter, Betty Barringer and husband Junior of Concord, NC; granddaughters, Kim Breuer and husband Dan of Troutman, NC, and Amy Hartz and husband Dan McDonough of Davidson, NC; great-granddaughters, Amethyst Hartz Denney (Jason), and Ashlyn & Kylie Breuer; and great great-granddaughter, Aubrey Denney.

A private funeral service for his immediate family will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Barrett.  Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery at 471 Church Street, Concord.

Due to Covid, the family requests that no home visits be made at this time.
