Wade Nelson Carter, Sr.

Wade Nelson Carter Sr., 95, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Wade was born November 28, 1929 in Randolph county to the late Albert Luther Carter and the late Mary Elizabeth Auten Carter. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Frances Mae Hodge Carter; son, Wade Nelson Carter, Jr.; son, Randy Carter; brother, Braodus Carter; and sister, Frances Pless.

Wade Sr. was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served from 1948-1952. He was a Construction Superintendent for the Laxton in Charlotte. A Christian that loved the Lord. He served him as a deacon in the church. He worked with Baptist Disaster Relief feeding and helping rebuild where needed while he talked about Jesus. He demonstrated how loving and giving he is to believers in Jesus. He traveled to South America to help build rescue homes for children and churches. He was loved by many and loved dearly by family.

Wade will be laid to rest during a private committal at Carolina Memorial Park- Kannapolis.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah (Mark) Cagle of Asheboro; brother, A.L. (Joyce) Carter Jr.; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
