Dea. Viola Gross, 85, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, March 26 2026, at Copperfield Health & Rehabilitation Center in Concord.

Dea.Vi0la Gross was born December 8, 1940 in Kittrell, North Carolina to the late Thomas Harvell and Thelma Booths. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years Alphonso Gross and her 2 Sisters, Frances Harvell and Christine Knox .

Viola lived most of her life in Prince Georges county Maryland. She was a dedicated woman of God a true prayer warrior. She fellowshipped at St Paul Church for many years as a Deacon, Accountant, and Sunday School Teacher. She supported her church family and also her community.

Survivors include her only Son Dea. Robert N Gross Sr . and Daughter—in-Law

Missionary Vanita J Gross; 5 Grand Children, Robert N Gross Jr., Rasheika (Ronald) Cain, Le'Nita Johnson, Ja' Loni Johnson, and Vicktoria Gross; 13 greatgrandchildren; 2 Brother—in—laws Orlandus (Shirley) Gross and George Gross; 2 Sister—in-laws, Regina Deal and Dea. Marjorie Gross; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and her very special best friend Joyce Maxwell .

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:45, am on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at University Hills Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Robert J. Williams Jr.

Our beloved Viola will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park Concord, during a private committal service.
